Holy brushstrokes Batman!!

It’s FINALLY DONE!!! Well actually, it got done sometime last week. Just that I haven’t had the time to blog it here. Been pretty busy with other stuff but now finally found the time to show you what GFP and I spent 2 weeks working on….

So, like the previous wall, the Bat-wall began with pencil sketches here and there. The aircond and furniture at the side was there when we started so we had to work with them there.

Dash in some blues, yellow and black…

Take out the Bat-brush from my trusty utility belt to colour in the members of the bat family…

The best part of painting the characters is always the shading. Thats when you try to make them look like they’re jumping out of the wall right at you. like MMMmmMMmmAAAAaaaaaGGGggggGiIIIIiiiiIICCccccCCCc….

And what Batman is complete without the Batmobile??? This is what the final wall painting looks like. Whaddya think?? Leave comments!

And if you want a closer look…

Here is Batgirl!! Who I actually think looks more like Catwoman…

Surprisingly, Robin ended up looking the most interesting of the bunch. On another note, I have often wondered if Batman was gay.

And finally, the Batman. The drawing style is based on the new Batman Adventures TV series which was designed by Jeff Matsuda. (character designer for MANY animations like TMNT & Jackie Chan adventures) I only hope I did his designs some justice…

batmobile.jpg

Last but not least, the Batmobile. Doesn’t it look like a Camry to you? Anyways, I added a flashing lights effect to give the illusion the lights were on. Cool eh?

Well, the walls were really fun to work on. And I’m really hoping to work on another one. I’m actually itching to paint an Optimus Prime, so if anyone’s interested…
